    CV Joint Grease Failure?

    Going with the Schaeffer's 219--will post a follow-up.

Honda CV axle grease (inner & outer)

I ended up snagging some Schaeffer's 219 online, so I'll let you know how it all goes.

Honda CV axle grease (inner & outer)

Post #3 describes my issue exactly--hence the grease question. https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/threads/cv-joint-grease-failure.290957/ So it seems a polyurea grease like Deere's Polyurea or Schaeffer's 219 may be a better fit for the inner joints than the Redline CV? The Critic--this may...

    CV Joint Grease Failure?

I know this is OLD--however, what would you use to refresh the grease in the inner joint of a Honda CR-V? I've heard Deere's polyurea or Schaeffer's 219? Thoughts, advice, general ramblings, rants?

Honda CV axle grease (inner & outer)

I'll *try* to slide a 16g needle under there and inject that thick grease in....yes, I know, golfball through a garden hose. The point is, if the axle needs to come off, it'll be replaced. I'd rather replace the axle altogether, rather than unfurl that greasy mess to replace the joint. I need...

    Duplicate. Apologies.

Honda CV axle grease (inner & outer)

Fair, but I'm asking about grease at this point. Please, someone humor me. I know the boots come with the grease...the axles may be worn and need replacing, but it 20 mins and $10 gets a couple years, or yields no result, then I'll know what needs to be done next.

Honda CV axle grease (inner & outer)

Likely, but 20 mins and $10 is better than a $300 OEM Honda axle atm.

Honda CV axle grease (inner & outer)

There are threads about it. Grease breaks down...over 15 years. You wouldn't waste your time, I get it.

Honda CV axle grease (inner & outer)

Hey Folks, I have an intermittent wobble/vibration going on and I'd like to add some grease to the axles of my '07 CR-V. Boots are intact, but I'm not sure what grease to use. I've heard that the inner grease may differ from that of the outer joint grease and wanted to consult the pros. This...

    Honda OEM starter vs aftermarket???

I'm in agreement on the DENSO starter. I have an '07 CR-V, which had a slow turn over/cranking issue with a good battery. I bought a remanufactured DENSO starter from Rock Auto--the warehouse is 15 minutes from my house and I had it in my hands the next business day. I returned the old Mitsuba...

2007 Honda CR-V: AC stopped working

4 month update: I had the refrigerant drained and added back by weight (in August) and she's been running fine. (Knock on wood). Again, thanks all for the guidance and feedback--you got me through the summer!

    ATF contamination in PS Fluid--Honda CR-V 2007

Hey All, I recently drained the PS of a '07 Honda CR-V. Put 26-27 oz of the old fluid into a Valvoline Maxlife ATF container--had a few dribbles of ATF left in the bottle. I had two fresh 12oz bottles of Honda PS fluid and put them back in the system and ended up a couple ounces short to make...

2007 Honda CR-V: AC stopped working

After wrangling and arguing the compressor into a workable position, I was able to test the coil--it was out of spec (> 15 Ohms vs spec'd 3.15-3.45 Ohms). I replaced the coil/pulley and clutch combo, fired her up and the compressor kicked on and started blowing tepidly cool. I suppose, after the...
