    Any Snow tire performance updates?

225/55/16 Dunlop M3 Wintersport on the 528iT wagon, 196/65/15 WS-50 Blizzaks on the wifes 323, and 205/55/16 M3's on the daughters Jetta GLI. Gotton some use lately in CT. I think my old Michelin Artic Alpins were a little grippier in snow than the M3's but I do an awful lot of 75+ on dry...

    5 Cylinder Engines

You forgot V-10's. BTW an even firing order is only one aspect of balance. Lots of those balnced firing order arrangements have BIG mechanical imbalances - rocking couples, second order vibrations, etc.

    Thick is better

Well, I READ about the guy who has the Ferrari, and his claim about lower temps, but, you know something.....I have a sneaking suspicion that the Maranello engine guys spec'ed the oil they do for a reason. IMO there is more to an engine/lubricant system than just sump temps and wear metals in the...

Are there any NASCAR racers that use just plain conventional oil in racing?

Yeah, but would you do the same if it said 'Brawny"? BTW I think I still have some Kodachrome 25 in the freezer.

Are there any NASCAR racers that use just plain conventional oil in racing?

Umm, have you been following any current racing rules and technology, BBY? You have managed to sandwich (club sandwich, actually) valid facts in between some pretty thin speculation and plain ole nonsense. F1 engines have to last 2 race weekends, at over 300 HP/liter and 18,000 RPM. Not contant...

    Marvel mystery oil-check these out

I dunno, Gary. the reference dates from 1969. How much more antiquated to you want? I mean, like, Castrol GTX was a 10w-50 then, and probably sheared to,like, wow, a MMO-like viscosity in a 1000 miles or so. No wonder I was rebuilding the R-8 Gordini every 10,000 or so. You may want to check...
