    Ducati 2016.

Has anyone driven the Scrambler? I think sales are pretty strong--more than all the other Ducs combined. What I like is the simplicity--low tech relatively. Now if we could get automobile makers to simplify their vehicles. My Explorer has something like 100 fuses and relays, and it's...

    255/45R18 opinions.

I still long for the good old days when a set of tires lasts 50K miles. I have a set of ultra high performance 18's on my Lexus, and I cannot tell you how many sets I've had on it. I got cheap and had 2 sets of Goodyear GT's on it. They were fine to start with, but only lasted about 20K...

How long is too long in between running a diesel?

You can let gas engines sit for long periods of time if you have a gas stabilizer or 100% gasoline in the tank. Diesels need to be run every couple of weeks or so. They just don't need to sit for that long. Kinda reminds me I need to go out and start my 7.3. Let the batteries run down a...

I like Tabasco and or Trappey's

If you look in the refrigerator of every high line chef in your city, you'll find a bottle of Siracha hot sauce. It provides heat without any appreciable taste.

Harbor Freight 1/2" electric impact wrench....?

I don't have any luck with the electric motors on any Harbor Freight tools. Just be sure to buy the Extended Service Plan and if the tool quits they'll just give you another. They're fine for weekend mechanics, however.

Car financing confusion, was this legal ?

They call such actions "spotting" a customer. The dealer's finance manager will often pull a credit bureau report on the customer and make a decision on to put them in the car and execute an installment sales agreement--often on a Saturday afternoon deal. They'll get with the finance companies...

    Honda outboard gear oil

I just use 75W90 Pennzoil Marine Gear Lube from Walmart @ $5.60 per quart. It's just a 20 minute job to change lower unit lube. It does the job, and is cheap. You can spend more, but you won't find any lube that does any better job of protecting your lower unit.

    Who makes Yamalube 2M TC-W3?

Citgo makes it to their specifications. And it's very, very good oil--better than the other OEM manufacturers' oils. And Citgo is owned by the government of Venezuela. Don't you love it that the profits derived go to their new President--after the recent death of their dictator.

    4 stroke outboard oil

You can put Mobil 1 into your engine, however I choose to use regular dino oil and change the oil often. The Universal Oil is also a diesel oil, like Rotella or Delo. These oils are used every day in mega hour usage in offshore fishing boats in Flordia, and they're getting thousands of hours...

Synthetic 75w90 instead of SAE 90 in Yamaha...

I prefer to change my lower unit lube very often instead of wasting money on synthetic lube. You can buy a quart of Pennzoil marine lower unit lube for $5.60 @ WalMart in the sporting goods section, and one quart will do it for most lower units. How cheap of insurance is that? Lower unit lube...

    Advice on buying used PWC

I too have had PWC's since 1985--Kawsasaki, numerous Sea Doo's and now a 2 year old Waverunner VX Cruiser. I still have a 90 SeaDoo that still runs great, but it's been babied. They're all fast, and 54 mph is enough speed for anyone. Those 68 mph rockets are more machines than any young person...
