The recommended application list for this stuff just keeps going, but the Mercon SP and Toyota WS caught my attention.

Viscosity seems high too at 8.4 cst at 100 degrees.

That does seem thick. I thought the max viscosity for Mercon SP was 6.0? The Brookfield viscosity on this fluid is not that great either.

Wow, that's great! I've got a 2007 Tundra that uses the WS and before now it seemed that the only place to get it was the dealer.

Now, for the big question - how long before AMSOIL and/or REDLINE produce a WS type ATF?

thanks,
ben

The visc was debated when Amsoil made the same recommendation.
Running temp from 6-8cst hot won't make much of a difference. You might lose a 1/10 MPG to the thicker fluids.
With the new thin ATF specs, you have critical cold flow requirements, which seem to be easily met by most synth blends.

Redline already has D6 for WS/SP/DexVI usage.

I was under the impression that Amsoil ATF was also recommended for SP/DexVI... usage already too.
