I'm just getting tired of scouting around for different oils and want to settle with just one for all my vehicles. The weight would be 5w-30 year round, the 0w-30 Castrol Syntec is a hit and miss when looking for it.
So if it were up to you would it be Valvoline Synpower or Castrol Syntec (American Version)?

Tough call. Which is more convenient for you to pick up regularly? If they are equally convenient I would slightly favor the Castrol syntec.

IMO Maxlife Synthetic is better than Synpower.

Syntec 5W-30 is my fav store brand oil, even over M1. Used it in 3 vehicles now with awesome results.

In the UOA section, there are some very impressive results with 5W-30 Syntec. I'd go with that. Seems to have a VERY robust add-pac with Moly, Boron, and high Calcium. Also, at only 9.7 cst, it will deliver good fuel economy, and it doesn't seem to shear down much from there.
