This is a newer designation of what most people call THF ( Transmission Hydraulic Fluid) that is commonly used in farm tractors. This fluid must fill several roles.
The same THF or UTTO fluid I use in my sliding gear tractor is also used in Hydrostatic transmissions, hydraulic systems and it must also be suitable for wet clutch and breaking systems.
It normally comes in 10w-30 or 5w-20 formulations with the 10w-30 being far and away the most common and available every where. I know you can get the 5w-20 formulation at Kubota or at John Deere.
Now it normally sells in 5 gallon pails. I know my John Deere dealer sells both the 10w-30 and the 5w-20 in quarts and gallons. JD calls it HY-GARD and Low Viscosity HY-GARD.
Schaeffer's also sells this fluid calling it Simplex Torque Converter Fluid item #115 and #315 for the syn blend.
