These OCIs are going to sound bad [Frown]

1. 2003 Nissan Sentra GXE
2. 1.8L DOHC I4
3. Nissan OEM 15208-9E000 ("over-sized filter for the Sentra" as compared to the stock thimble-sized filter)
4. 2.7L M1 5w-30, or GC 0w-30
5. AVG OCI is ~6000km

1. Kawasaki ZZR-250
2. 248cc DOHC P2
3. Fram CH6012 (element-style filter, not a spin-on)
4. 1.9L M1 15w-50
5. Avg OCI is 1500km (due to shortened riding season last year with an oil change before winter storage, along with a dealer mishap this year causing a shortened OCI).

5) Will change it before winter. Dealer put in 10w30 for summer use, I plan on going back to GM-recommended 5w30. Plus the car will be due for a change in about a month or so (3000 mile OCI).

Vehicle 2:

4) Quaker State 10w30
5) Will also change before winter, same deal as Malibu except that I will stay with the 10w30 since that's DCX's recommendation even in winter.

Alex P. and opus1 and others using the AC Delco PF-47 oil filter. Do you know that you can use the same high quality AC Delco filter in a larger capacity in the PF-52? Then you can tell your friends you are using a Corvette oil filter on your GM V6!

I run this oil for the whole summer. I only drive the car in the summer. This is somewhere in the neighborhood for 3,000 miles

1986 Citroen 2CV
602cc 2 Cylinder
Wix 51352 filter
Mobil 1 15-50
I drive this car more regularly and the engine is of higher mileage than the Beetle so I keep it to 3,000 mile OCIs

1999 Volkswagen New Beetle
2.0 4 Cylinder
Mobil 1 M1-205 filter
Mobil 1 5-30 EP
I have done UOAs in that past and the OEM recommended 10k was good. I will keep on doing this mileage but with the M1 EP oil instead.

Canton Racing Products Oil Filter- - '00 F-150. It is a "billet" canister which uses replaceable elements at 10k. They claim 8 micron filtering which is why I use it.

Didn't spot this earlier. Yes indeed, I was aware. Removal might become tricky, especially as it is obviously quite warm when I change it. I'll have to check it out next time I'm under it. I don't really gain much, at any rate. Thanks for thinking of us, though. Lots of GM motors do use these filters, and most of them have plenty of clearance.

5) 1500 miles for clean and 2-3k for rinse. 5k mile oil changes when back on Mobil 1.

This 'Mannolator' filter is incredibly well made. The guys at Advance Auto Parts were floored by the size, quality, and great price of this filter (only $6.20 after $1 rebate). I use it because it adds even more oil capacity over the new larger filters recomended by VW for the oil starved 1.8Ts. BTW I had to special order this filter but it came in the next day.

i use either Purolator or Motorcraft filters for both my engine and external Transmission filter kit.
I run Havoline 10w30 in summer and 5w30 in winter, sometimes i run the Advanced Auto Brand Oil when it is on sale. it seem to be very similar to Havoline.

In my 97 Thunderbird with the 4.6 Liter i've only done one oil change and so i've used the Pureone oil filter and Mobil 7500 5w30 parial synthetic, since i've been reading up here i may switch to havoline partial syn or Motorcraft partial syn and probably drop the pure-one filter and just use motorcraft.

i don't plan on upping my intervals over 3000 miles.

2002 Kubota diesel tractor - 5w-40 Rotella Synthetic diesel oil and Baldwin filters

Mowers, chipper, leaf vac, power washer all ger 15w-40 Rotella diesel oil

I change the oil in the cars every 3 months, and I do not clock mileage.

The Olds gets changed spring and fall, and it is not driven in the winter.

The yard equipment gets 1 oil change per season

i'm using Wix. i've read good things on here about them so that's encouraging

i emailed amsoil and they said they were getting the eao filter for my car in april but i didn't feel like waiting even tho april was close. i figured it wouldn't be available @ the beginning of april but i was wrong. will be using the eao filter next oil change.

4) Valvoline 5W30 + ARX
5) So far I have ~2100 miles on the oil, and ~600 miles on the ARX, so after the 1500 miles are up, i'll be changing it and beginning my rinse phase. For the rinse phase i'll be using standard Valvoline 5W30 again, then after ARX i'll be using Havoline Synthetic for 5k miles.
