I was at Walmart today and noticed they have new bottles of Edge Titanium (gold bottle) and they're labeled Extended Performance and are boasting a 15,000 mile interval again...anyone else seen this? I should've taken a pic.

That's interesting. I was just on the Castrol site (http://www.castrol.com/castrol/sectiongenericarticle.do?categoryId=9045409&contentId=7081015) and I don't see anything regarding that.

I've googled it and can't find ANYTHING at all...they redesigned both edge bottles to somewhat match the new GTX bottles...the black one is now called castrol edge syntec...no more SPT...I'll def take pics next time

I was in Sears yesterday and saw two different black bottle Edge 5W30s side by side. One said "Castrol Edge" and the other said "Castrol Edge U.S." Both were SN. The Edge U.S. was a dollar more per quart.

And that's even more interesting to see, especially since the MSDS was only issued in April, so that's only five months ago. I can't understand why BP/Castrol did not update the main Edge w/Titanium page to show this. confused You would think that it would be a good selling point for them. Great find by the way!

Probably just marketing...gold bottle is now Edge EP, and black bottle is just Edge...with the words "formerly syntec" written smaller underneath...kinda like they did when edge first came out
