I used ML for years until they switched there formula, no moly lower viscosity and I'm pretty sure I read on here years ago that even the red bottle contained recycled oil, I'm sure its fine in many applications but there was a better choice for my applications so I jumped ship......
I swtiched to T5 for all my engines. Back then I was using old formual ML and Rotella dino 10-30.
