cfromc, the best alternative (though it doesn't have any moly) is SLOB.

both of which are discontinued.. what do we use after we run completely out of VSOT and SLOB? [Frown]

What evidence is there that VSOT is being discontinued? It's still on the website. http://www.valvoline.com/pages/products/product_detail.asp?product=21

There also is Powerservice Diesel Lube Oil Extender which has a healthy dose of zddp and is not too thick.

I'd heard it was discontinued as well. Perhaps they are just keeping it on the website until they figure stores have sold out?

The OP noted it was still on the website. He said the store called Valvoline.

Someone will have to buy a batch of PCMO additive from an additive supplier, then repackage it for sale to BIOTG members. At 21000 ppm zddp, PCMO additive goes a long way.

Wow! Redline racing has that much zddp! Perfect additive because it is carried in ester, so you get two bangs for a buck. But the racing oil does not have detergent (I think), so you would weaken the detergency of the total mix.

I got 4 bottles. That should last for a few years...I guess I could add 1 bottle of RL after that.
