I was wondering what grease should I use on my f250's 4x4 locking hubs? Im going to disassemble them and clean them.

You'll want to use the same grease as you are using in the hubs' respective wheel bearings to prevent cross contamination.

If I remember right Ford specs a moly fortified LB rated #2 Lithium, but any LB rated #2 will do as long as you use the same grease in both the hub and bearing.

Valvoline durablend grease. Its a moly grease that is very versatile and for a decent price. Most auto parts stores carry it.

Isnt there a cross compatible grease for the hubs? Where can I find that grease w/o the high price tag from ford?

Thanks man. I can't get that oil locally. So I would have to get another brand, same flavor.

But you see the chart ford has in their manual. It says that the 10w30 wouldn't work for my or our climates.
