UOA by Oil Analyzers Inc. Previous uoa here.

Driving conditions: Oil in use January - August 2012. This is my first full uoa after installing a Cobb Accessport and I am running the standard "Off The Shelf" tune which explains the increase (?) in fuel. Previously noted fuel levels were estimates, and this one was done by GC. Estimated hp/tq on the Accessport for my year Forester XT is 270/285.

7 mile daily commute each way; spirited driving with a few redlines here and there on days where I have a 20 minute drive. Longer trips on weekends as well as driving on the beach. I ran the oil for about another 1,000 miles after this uoa and the factory recommended interval is 3,750 miles. 1/2 quart make-up oil added at 1,860 miles into oci and one quart at 3,220 miles into oci (after trip to SC that included more enthusiastic driving

).

Lab comments: Data indicates no abnormal findings. Resample at normal interval

Oil type & Grade: Mobil1 0W-40
Make-up oil added: 1.5 Quarts
Miles on unit: 122,140
Air filter: Amsoil Ea panel filter
Oil filter: OEM Honeywell

If I didn't get Motul for free with my Subaru cc rewards, I would probably stick with this oil. Actually, probably not since I change my mind once a week.

You sound like me.
The OTS tunes do tend to be a bit rich.
Do you have an aos on your fozzy?

No AOS. I've considered it because of the consumption, but figured my consumption isn't really as bad as some. I even have my stock catted up-pipe and some would say I'm playing Russian Roulette.

I've been very happy with my Crawford V2 setup, cut my consumption to virtually zero. I used to be able to burn oil at will with the skinny pedal.

I don't think too many people here will give you a hard time about the UP cat, just don't admit that over on the blue and yellow forum without yer flame suit on.

You plan to show us a UOA on that 300v? I'd like to see that.

The head tech at my dealer told me he has seen only two cases of grenading uppipe cats. I'm planning to do a voa and uoa on the 300V.

M1 0w-40 burned a little more also when I tried it for 2 runs before M1 HM 10w-40. 1.5 quart per 5k / 7 months is a little bit high for my taste, but it's probably not a big deal.

Why do you think your TBN is much stronger this time, than the last time you used this oil?

My OCI on the run of the SM oil was 6,034 miles. I don't recall the starting TBN but you can probably find it with a search.

The present figures look fine, but which oil were you using when you got the 10 figure for Lead. It was low on Zinc, Boron and Moly in terms of anti wear additives. You have it labelled as SSO, when it looks more like an SOS in wear metal terms.

That was Amsoil Signature Series 0W-30 and the last time that I ran the interval that long and the last time I used an oil with an HTHS of
