A user on the Kia forums says BITOG loves Motorcraft 5W-20 synthetic blend. I just bought a 2013 Sorento that spec's 5W-20. I always used Motorcraft synth-blend in my previous Honda V6 and Hemi charger engines that spec'ed 5W-20. Is this still considered the cat's meow for normal drain intervals? Kia specifies 7500 mile intervals for my new vehicle.

Thanks in advance,

I have a 2012 Sorento and go by the severe service recommendation of 3750 miles.

I make a lot of short trips.

I think that the 5W20 Motorcraft 5W20 will serve you well.

Find one that meets KIA's specs that cost the least and change at the factory recommend interval and the engine will last a very a long time.

Really...Any name brand 5w20 will serve your engine well. Buy on sale and change at 3750.

I do know Kia uses Quaker State lubes for factory fill, unless they have changed contracts very recently. I would stick with QS your choice as to synth or conventional either one in 5w-20 would work well.IMO.
