Lot of shear going on here. I would not run it longer than this, the viscosity is down to a mid-20wt. Flashpoint is also low at 340. Iron and Copper wear is somewhat high for the mileage, but the engine is probably still breaking in. Run it another 4K and check back again.

sorry guys...obviously struggling...I deleted the first gmail records because they contained personal info (that was flagged originally from BITOG)...so I scanned the image of the report instead.....thanks for the help Brons2!!!!I personally like to see the actual report from Blackstone...that is why I wanted the image on the thread....

The oil was changed at miles 4006, 8574, and 13203, with MC semi-syn 5-30...not real happy with a TBN of 2.0 with only 4629 miles on this oil....truck was driven normal, with some towing of approx. 1000 miles(load of about 2500lbs.)...Oil life monitor claimed 49% at 4629, can't see going much more than 5000 miles!....The truck has officialy been owned 1 year....computer says 470hours18minutes, 867.8 gallons of fuel used, 13,480 miles, and 15.5 mpg.average....The truck towed for approx. 3000 of those miles, took about 2000 miles of highway driving, and the rest was city/rural mix...I also think the computer is conservative on calculating mpg, typcally the computer would say the truck used .1 to .2 gallons more fuel, than could actually be topped off with...

If this was 5W20 it would probably be down in the 6cSt range. Im going to guess (as I noted in the previous thread) that its 5W30 with lots of fuel.

couldn't stand waiting...changed the oil with 1800 miles on the MC...changed to Castol edge with titanium 5-30, MC filter, poured 1 quart of castrol gtx through the engine, and filled the filter with oil before installing on the truck....don't know if it's placebo or not, but the engine seems quieter...

Did you pull a UOA just to see how much fuel was it in at the 1800 miles?
