Looking for a good oven thermometer to verify temperature inside - our 1962 GE seems to be off by a bit and I want to re-calibrate.

Also looking for a good thermometer that I can stick into meat and throw into the oven or on the grill, if one like that exists... so it can read the 100-200F internal meat temperature in a 400-500F ambient environment.

Perfect. What about a leave-in roast thermometer?

Maverick ET-732 BBQ thermometer has two probes, one to insert into meat and one measures grill temperature. Sounds like just what you need. Available from many online sources for about sixty bucks.

Or pick up that 7 dollar oven temp, and a $15-25 taylor or polder probe thermometer.

I like my polder.

Another vote for the ET-732. Those are very convenient and high quality.
