Factory fill & M1 5W30, Nissan VQ40, 3K & 6K mi UOA's

The 3000 mi sample is the factory fill, the 6000 mi is M1 5W30.

Copper and Silicon dropped nicely in the 6000 mi sample. Solubles were less than 0.1% for both samples, indicating excellent filtration.

How many miles overall on the vehicle? (I'm guessing a bit more than 6,000?)

Currently, I have about 7000 miles on the vehicle. Not sure if I'll do another UOA on the next oil change or wait 'til the one after that.

So the oil change interval on trhe Mobil 1 is 3K miles?? Still going in the right direction-loks good If you have M1 in right now I would go at least 5 or 6K miles and then do a sample on the interval after that (say 18K miles on the vehicle). Actially I personally would do it at 12K but I can't take my own advice
