Someone needs to purchase some of this and send it in for an VOA.

Any takers?

Texas Tea, company located in Tahoe, CA

Just looking at the MSDS I would stay away. If you cannot even number the pages correctly what does that say about the company, page 8 of 4.

This would be another concern for me: I zoomed in on the back of the 5W30 bottle. The top states Motor oil -- 5W30, but down below it says this oil is sutible for cars and light trucks where 5w20 is reccomended. Wait, 5w20? Take a look - 5w30 Pics - TexasTea

From their MSDS...

Odor .......................................................... Mild, Bland, Hydrocarbon Odor

There is no way I would buy one of these novelty oils. Stick with the majors for best results and value for the dollar.

I checked out their global product data sheet, and they make a lot of different lubes that would fill niche applications. For instance, they make a synthetic 5w40 that is CI4+ rated. In general the NOACK's of their oils run very low, in the 6-9% range. But not one of their sheets gives HTHS data.

I'll leave the dissection to the chemical breakdown aficionados.
At first glance the product packaging looked like a spoof, or a parody on something.
But hey, "only in Texas," as they say.
