Sorry about the title, it's not an L67, but naturally aspirated at 200kW.

Guy programmes memcals, and takes out the ultra-lean cruise...still lean, but not 19:1 lean.
 
So this is the L36 (3.8 series II N/A)???

That is a really good UOA for 2 weight over the recommendation, I would use 10w40 HM before 15w50 in that car though...

So I have to ask... Why the 50wt?? oil burning?? or are you the chairman of the thicker is better crowd?

Where even Hondas run 10W-30, 5W-40 as recommended by the manual.
 
Oh...I never understood why in the USA a car will need 30wt, but the same car will need 40wt or 50wt across the ocean...

GMs recommendation as per the owner's manual for that engine is 20w-50, with 15W-40 in snow/cold conditions.
 
That seems like some thick oil for that v6, but apparently it is doing well.

I also made that post before I knew you were in AU, otherwise I would not have posted because they request heavier oil to be put in.
