- Time on engine: 21,000 miles

- Engine: STOCK

- Oil Filter: Royal Purple

- Red lined 7-11 times

- 65% city / 35% highway. More in town driving compared to
my last two reports

- Air filter: AC Delco has been in use for the life of the
car.

16,500 miles at beginning of OCI on Air filter
21,000 miles at end of OCI
Recommended Air filter interval is 12,000 miles.

Refilled with Pennzoil Ultra 5w30. The engine feels more responsive compared to the Delo 5w40.

Seems most LSx motors shed copper for a long while. Some might give you grief for a 40 weight, but I would run it in that car just the same.

This is very common for LT1 and LS1-3 engines. High copper readings are common for up to 20K miles.

Even longer than that on some of them. They must use some copper based sealants in their assembly.

Glad to see the OP get that 40w out of there. You sure don't need it. Changing oil way too often also.

The recipe for any of the newer LS motors is the same: use a high quality Xw-30, change by the olm, and run forever!
