Mopar Oil Filters are now being supplied by Magneti Marelli. Anyone know anything about these filters?

OEM or service/retail? And all part numbers or just some? The MO-090s at Walmart are still Purolators. But maybe the current supply just hasn't been exhausted.

Last two filter i've gotten, look like purolator filters. Got the one about 2 weeks ago at wally world.

I know that name from the ignition components on my Alfa Romeos.
Let's hope their oil filters are better than their electronics. OK, they weren't that bad, much better than Lucas.

Supposedly a lot of the parts sold through the dealers are going to be supplied by them. To be honest it sounds like in the long run the Mopar Brand may disappear or become rebranded Magneti Marelli. All dealer services going forward are using Magneti Marelli filters.

I looked at Magneti Marelli's website, and from what I could see, they serve Fiat the way Motorcraft and Visteon serve Ford and how Delphi serves GM.
Fiat left the USA for many years due to bad build quality, I wonder how well the new filter is going to work.

I didn't mean to slight Magneti Marelli in my post. Nobody's ignition components were as reliable in 1959 as they are now.
Artificialist has it right, and I suspect their quality is the equal of Motorcraft and Delphi, for better or worse.

A few years ago they were making throttle bodies for 5.0 Mustang for Edelbrock.

Fiat owns a majority stake in Dodge/chrysler.
Not overly surprising they are using some Italian parts.

Magnetti Marelli makes a LOT of different products today.
Automotive electronics, throttle body housings, lighting ,ect.
I would liken them to the French company Valeo, and of course Bosch.

MOPAR oil filters and air filters stay the same as always. MAGNETI MARELLI is supplying dealers with filters to fit other brand vehicles when they come into Dodge or Chrysler dealers so stop freakin out. MOPAR is still MOPAR. Some new performance parts for the FIATS will be supplied by M-M. AND AS FAR AS THE GEORGE WASHINTON COMMERCIAL... GET A GRIP IT'S A COMMERCIAL.Old george wasnt as great as everyone thinks he was just a man. Long live MOPAR.

Fiat is back directly. I've seen several of their new cars roaming our streets. Bleh!

Mopar filters are WIX (Canada) or Purolator (USA) supplied.Magneti Marelli is their import brand for FIATs and for other brands of cars.The Chrysler dealerships want more of the non Chrysler market,and having shocks/filters/plugs/belts made by someone they own (and not having to rely on local auto parts stores) is just good business for them.
