You have such spectacular UOAs using this FUCHS oil.

I sure wish we could see others using this same oil or even other grades of FUCHS.

I take it you refilled it again with more of the same?

If so then I think then you will need to wait until your next change to be able to use the new FUCHS formulation ie XTL?

Nice report, that is one fine oil! Oh yea and a 20 grade oil being used down under! Nice!

Hi Mate.
yes refilled again with Fuchs. Not sure about the new formula and how long will it take to get here.Wear and fuel economy you cant go pass Gt1 0w-20.

Maybe I missed it but many months was this OCI?

Even more impressive results seeing that this car experiences mostly city driving.

I never seen a oil with so much calcium, but almost zero phosphorus and zinc

That is the point i.e. FUCHS 0W20 has been advertised as (the only) zinc free oil for several years.

Another great report.
I see the lab didn't do a TBN test, but with all that calcium
I'm sure you could go at least 25,000 kms.

I find it interesting that while there is only trace amounts of Zn there is some Phos'. It is P that is the antiwear element in the ZDDP molecule. I'm just wondering what the source of P is.

Yeah, it will be interesting to see what will be different with the new XTL version of this oil. Hopefully they don't screw up the formula like they did with Castrol GC.

Hi Mate.
Yes V6 and 4 cylinder Toyota Camry's.Hyundai Elantra.
All UOA's are identical to the above.4L jug $80 from Burson Automotive spares.(Sydney)
Can't wait till Castrol edge 5w-20 hit the retail market.Probably not good as Gt1 0w-20 but I will give it ago.
Cheers.

Yeh the Fuchs 0w20 is around $80/4L here as well.

Was going to try the Fuchs 0w20 in the VS V6 commodore to kerb consumption, due to the low tension rings and poor honing in the early VS's, to test Doc Haas's theory light viscosity oils may provide a better seal.

I tried M1 5w30 but it was using a little too much for my liking. I've using M1 5w50 at the moment in.

When will the Castrol edge 5w-20 be available OTC ?
