I agree with you. Besides on the exhaust and with the bearing return oil returning the blown turbo debris, can a oil filter really filter out these ppm wear metals in the UOA? I'm thinking this is all about the blown turbo.

Well, the next one will tell for sure. I wouldn't necessarily expect an immediate return to normal, but any bearing issues are masked by the fuel ..although that's pretty high for even leaded fuel.

Kinda off topic but one oil analysis says the metals are high what would the previous UOA show? Trending needs to be used for the best diagnosis. So either the engine has a problem or the turbo failure put metal in the oil. Is the engine pumped?

Other that a guess this is the only way to check the condition, or change the oil and run the engine.

The high Al and Cr are a bit alarming, from an intake point of view....pistons and rings...I mean are there many UOA's where the Cr is 35? Could be grit intake, not even related to the turbo. What kind of air filtration?

Tear that engine down parts do not lie....This is one thing I loved about my job.....Unlike people parts do not have opinions and they never lie! Pull that engine and get to work. Assuming youa re right and the turbo did not fail and dumb parts into the intake tract it is a builder issue either some thign was not machined properly or measured or assembled right. I always measured any parts I ordered. Even pistons and rings and wrist pins etc.......I have had major suppliers put the wrong part int he box send me street bearing instead of race bearings,Wrist pins not machined to the proper size etc......I even had a piston that was not to spec once. I am talking about big names too like TRW,JE Pistons,Crower,Lunati etc......not fly by night small time operators!Even on an OEM build I measure everything before it goes into the engine. This is one thing some of the dealerships I worked for hated when I was a young apprentice....I was slow but did great work I almost never had a come back. I had one transmission and no engines ever come back to me then when I opened my own shop for a year same thing one transmission and no engines fail due to parts defective or assembly!If had the right equipment back then I would have even X-Rayed the parts before instalation. You only get one crack at a good reputation!

When he takes this apart take photo's.....I would not let the builder takeit apart unless one of you are their. They have a way on high ticket items of swaping out parts or doctoring the parts to make them show what they want them to show to get around admitting that they messed it up!

High chromium count is what really concerns me! I think he is running K&N filter, but his silicon is ok so I think filter is working fine.
