Looks like the new motor ran well for Matt and David at the Amp 500. Matt ran out of gas late and Ragan just got caught in the mess and the end. Wonder how the unrestricted version stacks up with Hendrick horsepower? I think it will take new power and the ability to make it stick to catch the rousch fenway boys up to the Hendrick cars. The new Dodge motor seems to have good top end power if you watch restarts and drag races off turn one and two at Martinsville. The Toyota's have great power especially in the Gibbs team.

Rumor has it it's just an LS6 with the serial numbers ground off.

The FR 9 is much lighter and has a better cooling system. It will allow more tape for downforce and better weight distribution for the handling. Can't wait for the unrestricted motors to come online to see how they stack up against the other manufactures engines. Maybe they will be at Texas this weekend.

It would be neat to see the new motor at Texas. That would be a tough test on the valve train.
