Nice job on the Porsche. You don't see many 33 year old cars that look that good. Now get to work on your car. By the way, what oil does your friend use in his Porsche and what oil do you use in the Mustang?

Nice job on the Porsche. You don't see many 33 year old cars that look that good. Now get to work on your car. By the way, what oil does your friend use in his Porsche and what oil do you use in the Mustang? Thanks, everything is original including the paint on his car..He runs M1 0w40 and Bosch oil filter (changed yearly), dry sump holds about 11 quarts, good if your racing but around town driving I don't think the oil ever gets warmed up. There's always alot of condensation under the oil cap and the filler tube. I took a peek at the Porsche's manual and it recomended 20wt oil for the winter (haha). I use M1 5w20 and Pure1 oil filter (changed yearly) on mine.. OOH baby my favorite Porsche. I think porsche underrated the horsepower on this car. rated at only 240 HP, I've driven alot of cars with a few more HP and they don't have that violent thrust this one makes when the turbo spools up. Includng my car which is dynoed at 265RWHP and 4:10 gear, makes me sad...

I remember drooling over this car in my dad's Road and Track/Car and Driver magazines.
In one particular layout, they were showcasing Reggie Jackson's 930. It was metallic light green and Reggie was photographed leaning against the rear quarter panel.
I also remember that this car has huge turbo(s) such that when the boost kicks in, it almost doubles the HP of the engine. When you add that to the natural oversteer that the rear-engine layout gave, it made this car almost deadly if boost came on occurs mid-corner at high speed. In one interview with a Formula 1 driver of the time (can't remember who), he was asked "How do you drive the 930 fast in the corners?". His response was "I don't".
Thanks for posting this, it brings back memories!

Nice job, but does he actually pay you to use Armor All products? (j/k).

Nice job, but does he actually pay you to use Armor All products? (j/k). lol, I have 2 gal of armor all that I'm trying to use up, just on the exterior. Once thats gone I'm going to get something that's more durable and long lasting. But the Armor all carwash on the other hand is impressive..

Your garage looks great, and I'd rather have your (dusty) Mustang than his Porsche:)
