I have an intermittent problem with my truck, doesn't always happen but every once in a while.

Sometimes when I open the door, there is no dome lighting and no power is being supplied from the battery at all. Fool around with the battery cables and the power comes back.

The cables loosen over time for some reason. I'm wondering what could be the cause? confused If frequency is an issue, it's about once every 5-6 weeks. Thanks!

One of my battery cables had worn out and caused this exact thing to happen, I replaced it and the problem was solved.

I've also had the lead side connector come loose from a battery before. It was a 7 year old battery at the time.

Found the source of the problem. I just replaced both connectors with copper ones, and now even my lights are brighter at night. thumbsup Thanks for the input!
