Sorry if this has been asked before, I tried searching but didn't find anything. What are the thoughts on MotorSILK?
Has anyone seen any tests or UOA on this additive? Please link to the discussion if this has been discussed on BITOG before. Much appreciated...

Googled a bit more and found something on Priuschat. Towards the end of the thread, there is a post by someone who used it (user: mnky357us). Did not seem to do anything was his consensus.

Change the date range on the search criteria to newer than 5 years. You'll find several listings.

The bottom line is that just about nothing, including MotorSILK improves the best product the oil company chemists put out for a given price point. If you want better oil, buy better oil. Don't try to home-brew and expect a better product than those chemists can concoct for the same total price.

There are a few exceptions. LC20 is volatile and must be replenished every 1000 miles. It works well, but takes more attention than most consumers want to bother with. Auto-Rx is different--a truly effective cleaner--and is too costly for the oil companies to put into their products.
