So two days ago I drained my ARX rinse phase oil, wow that was some really black PYB. Now I have sprung a major leak, I am losing about 1/4-1/2 qt a day. I DRIVE 10 MILES A DAY!!! So I look around and seems to be coming from the rear of the motor, my first thought is the pan gasket b/c it was questionable to re-use (I took off my pan to drill a hole and weld in a bung for a temp sending unit). Its a fel-pro prema-dry (blue rubber w/ crush washers). So I replaced that, and drove home all seemed well. Today I got back on the highway and once again its spraying oil over the entire undercarriage and all over my back window! Not to mention im probably blinding everyone behind me from the smoke I put out. Now my next thought is the rear main seal, would have been my first but the questionable pan gasket threw me off and definitely needed to be replaced anyways. Also the rear main was replaced within a couple thousand miles prior to the ARX treatment. So I'm thinking the ARX cleaned some junk up on the crank and there is a grove worn in the crank??? Any ideas would be appreciated. And if thats not it there's nothing else back there, other than the back of the valve cover gasket (which was also replaced with the rear main). Am I missing something.
