2 Months 3434 miles using Pennzoil Yellow Bottle 10W/30
I had my intake gaskets redone shortly after my last UOA. My mechanic changed the oil when the job was done. I changed it when I got it home and it obviously had lots of coolant in it still, oil doesn't normally steam. I then changed it again 10 days or so later with YB 10W/30 and a PF52 ACDelco filter. My intent was to go 3k miles and test but I went slightly over. Looks like the fix was successful.

I drive pretty gentle most of the time.
Wix air filter. Air filter changed at 60k miles on the odo.

Blackstone Coments:
We're sorry to hear about your engine but at least you found the coolant leak before it became a real problem. Silicon increased due to sealers used when reassembling your engine. It should improve with subsequent oil changes. All wear read normally. It looks like whoever worked on your engine did a good job. We found nothing in this data that would be cause for alarm. The viscosity of the oil read in the 5W/30 range rather than the 10W/30 that was listed. We don't think this is a problem. No harmful contaminants were found.

Comments welcome. I've got PP 10W/30 in it now with a Wix filter and plan to go 5k miles and test again.

Not bad, looks like you may need to check your air cleaner and ducting. Silicon looks higher than it should be.

I think you need to read his post again.

Something's not right here - Pennzoil has a fairly healthy dose of moly in it - but there's none here...YB should have about 150-200ppm moly in it....

I look forward to seeing it myself. Things should be flushed out even better next time and perhaps I'll get better wear numbers with the PP. My only previous PP UOA was tainted by coolant.

No formulation change that I know of. Could just be a lab error. It happens.
