Polymer ester additives

I don't use motor oil additives but was wondering if polymer esters are becoming more common as part of the anti-friction and anti-wear mix in some motor oils, particularly in mid and low SAPS oils. Reading about PE's in general and the following Ketjenlube 135 was interesting, it almost looks like the perfect bottle fill for Uncle Joe's Miracle Anti-friction oil additive;

Yes they are, including some other new, non-ash, non-phosphorous AW/FM chemistries. These polymer chemistries have been available since the late 70's, but have only been implemented rather recently as organo-metallic AW/FM content has been lowered.

Thanks for the headsup, hadn't seen that one. Looks like the same synergetic stuff.
