Is Youtube loading ok for you right now?

My clutch used to be nasty. I use a brake lever now, but you need to a) adjust the "plate" correctly and b) take apart the left side (use the supplied gear puller) and grease it up real good and put it back together c) lube the cable. After that and a little break in, it will be nice.

\:\!

Trust me - it will get faster as it breaks in and you tune it well.

Then get a jackshaft and wear double skivvies.

Cruises at 25, can get 29 mph.

The idle is up so I think it's breaking in. Did a 14 mile loop today.

Man - now that the weather is nicer, I've been tearing around with mine as well. I must admit the power to the ground through the transmission is awesome. I can rip up any hill. So much fun, I can switch gears really quickly. Scary fast, but I can go down to first and start with the clutch at the bottom of a hill and just torque all the way shifting as I go.

How many miles do you expect the engine to last? Can it be rebuilt?

I figure mine will go past 5000 miles with ease. Yes - simple engine. The Italian engine expect - I would last a tad longer, but more expensive parts:

I might get in on this entertaining nonsense if Revopower's "Wheel" ever comes out or if I wreck a disc. Google "Revopower."

That looks insane. My bike is laid up with a busted motor mount stud. Chinasteel just lost cohesion.

Get some 6mm allthread made in, oh, pittsburgh, and redo everything if you haven't yet.

I got sick of stripping the threads out of nuts....and never rely on China studs....easy enough to replace. The beauty of the new rear mount is not relying on two cheeseball studs.

A little over 1/2 gallon - I've never actually measured it though. There are larger tanks and an auxiliary rack mounted tank. I must be getting well over 100 mpg it take me stinking forever to use the tank up around town.

I just ported the works and made new gaskets.

First I attacked the intake manifold. I used a sander drum wheel - 80 grit - man how sweet. Went into the welds, made the flange match the tubing and then opened it up a bit. Also got the weld at the inside of the bend. Got the burr on the carb side.

Then I went after the exhaust manifold that came with my pocket bike expansion pipe. Had to cut considerable material off the thick flange. Worked it nice and finished up with a 120 grit wheel. It feels really smooth.
