I don't know what that silicon is. I changed the air filter last time I changed the oil. I will check the intake for leaks and make sure its all sealed up well.

TBN was low again in this sample. Current fill is Maxlife 5W-20, we'll see if it does better.

the MC 5w20 has normally shown good results on here, but it wont wotk in every application as you may be finding out.

I think the run was good. You perfectly pegged the life of this oil in your car. Just run it no more than 5k.

The 3.0 is usually pretty easy on oil. The one in my Sable gets PP 5W20 for 7500 mile changes.TBN of 1. Seems low in this engine and that mileage.
