I just bought an Aprilia Scarabeo 250 scooter, and it needs 5w40. AA has the special on 5 quarts of M1 with a M1 filter for $27. Is this Turbo Diesel Truck oil a good, safe oil for my scooter? They had no other 5w40 oils. I can use the filter for one of my Hondas.

BTW - There appears to be no place to post messages on motorcycles other than UOAs, or I am missing something?

I'd love to have a scooter - but it freaks my wife out.

I don't know anything about scooter engines, but M1 TDT is top shelf when it fits the application.

I'm a little surprised such an engine needs a 5W-40. I'm sure the M1 will do great. It really is a top notch oil.

We are a MC family with Hondas and Suzukis - I missed buying a Scarabeo a week or two back

Yes, bikes usually use HDEO oils because the same engine oil is also used for wet clutch - shearing.
