I have several Chrysler products and always use Z05 (yellow) or stock mopar (orange) antifreeze. I just bought a gallon of the mopar stuff from the dealer dated 8/08 and the color is no longer orange, its more pink/red. It's been orange for the past 8 years for me, so is this something new?

Here are some pics of the undiluted mopar stuff dated 8/08

I also just compared the new bottle 8/28/08 with an empty bottle dated 01/26/08. It looks like the part numbers changed too. The bottles are identical looking (black/blue/white), except the old part number is 05066386AA and the new part number is 68048953AA

I sure hope the new stuff is just a color change and not a change it chemistry.

I just bought some antifreeze from the dealer too and noticed it was pink. It almost looks like Toyota antifreeze. The original antifreeze in my car is orange like Dex Cool. I assume this is the correct stuff because they asked me what year my car was.

The part number on mine says 68048953AB. I got the concentrated kind.

I also noticed that the container is the exact same shape as the Honda antifreeze. I think maybe Honda and Chrysler antifreeze is made by the same company.
