See below oil my recent oil analysis. I ran my 2008 Acura MDX with the oil life monitor to 15%. This was 6000 miles. There are now 34,000 miles on the engine. I had originally gone with M1 5W20 but have switched to Pennzoil Platinum 5W20 with Pureone filter for the last two changes. Oil filter changed every change. Stock Acura Air Filter.

This was a hard oil change. It was -15 F for a few weeks and more short trips. However, I think I changed it early as it looks like there was still life left.

The PP held up Awesome. LOTS of TBN remaining and wear numbers are dropping nicely. Stick with it or try the ultra

Great report, and very strong TBN for 6k miles... almost too strong. I've had back to back reports with PP 5w30 in my Forester where the tbn was around 5 after 4.5k miles. I'm surprised by that tbn.

I don't like your silicon numbers ..but it's not showing up in most of the usual suspects.

Good point - they are high for the miles.

Residual break-in?
