I do know that both these consecutive OCIs are very short (FF sampled in May and the very next one in June). But there isn't much UOA data for these engines and the few that I have seen with the Lambda platform have been a bit puzzling. As well I do like seeing the progression for the "break in" #s.

I replaced the June 5 oil again with Q Horsepower and another PF48. So all key components are consistent. This OCI will be for a full 3k miles.

I think this OCI was appropriate. Good to see you don't have the lead issues that the guy with the 08 Acadia has.

Iron and copper are high, expected with a new GM engine.

I'd continue on, maybe 2000 on the next interval, and resample.

Good of you to remember some troubling UOAs for the 3.6 L. As far as I can see my UOAs are the first for any Lambda platform with the DI version.

I was pleased to see that both copper and iron came down noticeably even with the extra miles in the second interval. Such trends give me confidence to take this current interval to the basic 3k miles for this engine and this QH oil. I will sample one more time and if all is good I will base subsequent OCIs on the OLM.

Every thing is dropping down nicely, which is good. New GM engines are one of the few engines I would say you can never change the oil too frequently on - they spit out a LOT of break-in metal.
