Here is an analysis of our 2004 Lexus RX330 V6 with 87,500 miles. I ran Pennzoil Platinum (PP) 5W30 (4 quarts), PP 10W30 (1 quart) with a Mobil 1 oil filter. The car didn't use any oil during the 4,050 miles. The reason I changed was because I was at the 6 month mark. Typical stop-n-go Denver, CO driving.

Previous runs were Mobil 1 EP, but Terry wasn't that impressed, so I moved over to PP.

Anyone see anything unusual with this sample???

This run looks better than the other two samples on there. What were the other two runs of?

Stayed in grade pretty good. Nice flashpoint. Looks good

You gonna stick with PP?

I like the fact they are a small company, how they are active on this board (both posts and support) as well as the fact that the UOA's are usually excellent. The only pain is I have to mail order it, but we will see.

I was wondering how that MOLY reading was so high!

I agree with both of these comments. Everything is on spec. If you have Platinum in it now and the next UOA looks like this, bottle it up and ship it to me. I'll use it.

Would you mind educating me a bit on how do you determine that? Thanks.
