In the bottle before was some used Royal Purple XPR 5w-30.

and no insolubles (solids) at all. The TBN read 12.5, so you're starting out with a high number. The
viscosity was fine for a 10W/40 oil. Note the additive package;

heavy duty engine oil.
Do a search on moly. you will find plenty to read about.

RP has their own anti friction/wear additive that doesn't show up in OAs and the moly here isn't needed to replace Zddp that's better at the job anyway. It's probably beind used more as an antioxident as in most oils.
