I checked the oil and after wiping the dipstick I can see a few metal bits on the paper towel. It's an LS1 with an Amsoil EAO filter and the syn oil only has a few thousand miles on it. Should this be cause for concern?
68,000 miles and I run it to redline occasionally. It doesn't seem to have the piston slap that I hear about so often. To me it looks as if it's tiny bits of aluminum.
Hmmm, doesn't sound too good. Particles may be much too large for a UOA to pick up. Try Dyson Analysis. He uses a Rotrode analysis which picks up larger particles.
