So, what I want to know is how it that the 7.5k run into 2012 on API-SN AFE 0w-20 at the time showing 2.2 TBN and yet 21k on the 'same formulation' AFE 0w-20 showing 2.4 with an additional 14k? I don't doubt it. He did add 1 Quart of oil near the en

They are for different applications, so there is no better. In the US, Mobil 1 20w-50 is only sold as a motorcycle formula. There are 5w-50 and 15w-50 auto formulas. 0w-40 is designed for European cars, but can certainly be used in other things.

My wife and I just bought a 2014 Crosstrek. It's my wife's car. She knew exaclty which car she wanted and which options she wanted, so that's what she got. The oil consumption problem apparently doesn't affect the 2014s from what I've read. It has 95

If I've gone really long on an oil change, I'll pour a 1/4 quart into the oil fill and let it drain back out into the pan once the oil slows to a drip. Otherwise, I don't bother. Drain the oil hot and you'll have to wait maybe 5 minutes. The littl

Another concern about letting the oil drain overnight (or longer) is the dry restart will be on a cold engine with a higher idle speed than a warm restart. As someone else implied, it also increases the risk of another household member "borrow

I have done a few belts (not on a Honda albeit) and used Aisin kits as well as Gates. Both were identical in components except the belt, which is fine. I'd be OK with a Gates kit, too. a) Do make sure you do the tensioner; some kits don't have it

If you like Amsoil then use it. Buying it from Pablo here will get you likely the best possible price. And extend the drains.

Another trick to removing broken bolts is to use left hand drill bits and appropriate drill rotation. That way the bolt will back itself out of the hole as the drill bit bites in.

Yes, it will not do miracles but definitely worth a try if you are getting borderline signal. I am assuming a good one purchased from reputable manufacturer will do even better than my Radio Shack one.

Clevy - I don't want to lose horsepower to a conventional oil though. The 600 class is VERY tight, and if I'm willing to pay $22 a gallon for gas that gives me 5hp, (and burn 10 gallons a weekend) I can't afford to lose 2hp because I wanted to save
