Maxlife and DexronVI are pretty close in in regards to viscosity. Both are good choices, since they are shear stable fluids, they start out lower than DexronIII but stay at a higher viscosity in service. Plenty of these 4 speed Gm transmissio

Good review. I have to wonder what's up with the 2012 LE. My 2010 doesn't wander on the highway, unless my wife drives. She's always trying to find the center "by feel" but there's no feel, so two hours later she's still bouncing from one s

Since you mention "RE", I assume you mean rear engine. Which means a 911 given the time frame of cars you mention. I believe the Targa's had front vent windows up into the 80's. The Coupes had fixed front vent windows starting in 1969. D

1/4 inch is nothing and will not cause your tranny to shift funny. You have other problems. Tranny dipsticks are notoriously inaccurate. Have you ever had you pan off and looked where the dipstick level lies? I run my Ford 1 Liter over recommen

Peter: I think you are creating a straw man. I don't think I have said there is only one viscosity or brand that is best, nor do I think LN/Charles Navarro is saying that in his article (which i'm still not sure you've read). I am not an expert

I recently changed my radiator and despite my best attempts, ATF kept dripping out of the tranny cooler lines so I had to top it off. I topped off the fluid and re-checked it after the tranny was hot after a highway drive; the level was properly with
