This morning I noticed the brake light on. I checked the fluid level it is fine I think, it has the two little rectangles that fluids goes down to...but the fluid level is about at the middle of those two rectangles.
New brakes on front and bled them.

Your brake pedal switch needs an adjustment. Worn master cylinders sometimes cause a sagging pedal, which can keep the brake pedal arm from reaching the switch. (unless you're driving an old Beetle, which means the brake fluid pressure switch on the master cylinder has gone bad).

Just top the fluid off to the top rectangle and see if that helps. Tired float switch in the MC will trigger the light too early.

Yeah, I will try to top off the fluid first. If it is the float switch is that difficult to replace?
Or is the break pedal switch hard to adjust?
Thanks.

I would back up to a wall (in order to see the brake lights) and then both manually raise the brake pedal and also lift the fluid level float. This was you can tell which is causing the problem and then fix it.

Not sure about modern brake switches....haven't had to work on any current ones...but the one in my 74 Vette was just a threaded plastic sleeve held in a steel bracket that could be screwed in towards the pedal. The piston return spring got lazy during really cold weather and the pedal didn't come all the way back...sometimes I'd come out to go to work and my brake lights would be beaming before I ever got in it. Simple fix in a car that old, but I don't know what you might be facing in a newer car.

Which brake light on? The one on your instrumentation panel or your car's rear end?
IF it's the instrumentation panel and topping off doesn't help, most likely this is caused by shifting of your diverter(distribution) valve during fluid bleeding or flushing. There is a switch you know(in addition to the typical low level fluid switch in your master cylinder's reservoir) to verify that both left/right or front/back braking system fluid pressure are evenly distributed.

Oh....****, I assumed you meant the brake lights on the back of the car, not the dash brake light. Sorry man...

No no, my fault, I didn't clarify. Yes it is the light in the panel.
Thanks.

Added fluid, light is still on. So what do I do about the diverter valve...what? How do I fix that? or brake pedal shift adj?
Thanks.
