Maybe we could list all relevant, current oil specs by all car makers (available in the CONUS). Feel free to add car manufacturers that I forgot, and please add the current engine oil specs.

I suggest you guys copy the whole list and add the specs until all specs are filled in.

Since different vehicles within each manufacturer's lineup require different oil specs, how do you plan to do this?

I just want to see all the currently relevant oil specs that a car maker specifies for their whole lineup of consumer vehicles. Gas and diesel engine oil specs, please.

This list is for REFERENCE ONLY as it has some 2007 callouts and was put together with haste.

Bentley, Ferrari, Lamborghini and Maybach do not call for a specific specs but rather for specific products? These are all ACEA A3 oils, correct? Okay, let's add these recommendations.

It's possible that it might be in some of 2008 manuals. It didn't see it any 2007's or the few 2008's I looked at.

BMW's OEM oils are made by Castrol. The 5w30 was Castrol SLX, now Castrol Edge?
I'd have to check the owners manual but I'm pretty sure BMW still follows the LL-98, LL-01, and LL-04 spec here in the states. Newer oils can supercede the older oils.

Regarding the Bentley GT, is there a VAG W12 oil spec?
VAG 503.01 or 504.00? http://www.roelz.be/VAG/vw_oilspecs.html
M1 0w40 is 502.00 and 505.00 http://www.mobil.com/USA-English/Lubes/PDS/GLXXENPVLMOMobil_1_0W-40.asp
503.01 and 504.00 sound like better oils.

I've seen GM oil specs on some bottles but they might be for diesel passenger cars that we don't get in the states? Same as Saab?
AM General specs would the same as GM.

For Europe?

When you say "API" do you mean API ILSAC GF-4 (energy conserving) oils?

In this list I want only the specs that car makers call for in vehicles sold in NA.

The current Ferrari 599 calls for only the Shell Ultra 10W60 as the Enzo. Ferrari North America told me today that they are actually thinking of going to a thinner oil. Mind you this is the same engine internally as the Enzo but with 40 less BHP. Interesting.
