I recently put in Canadian tire ultra fuel system cleaner into the gas.. some places I have read that fuel system cleaners can actually damage seals, etc.
Can someone fill me in?
I wouldn't worry about it. I used plenty of them in my car and it never had a fuel leak of any sort. Most of the cleaners are just 95% kerosene and
Gas itself is a pretty chemically aggressive mix in its own right. Gas will dissolve alot of gunk and materials alone. Even the better fuel cleaners like Fuel Power and cleaners that use PEA have been show to be safe on seals. FP was even directly tested on seal material to make sure it couldnt harm them. And FP is pretty strong in solvents. Put FP into a non solvent safe bottle and a few minutes later it melts through
