The service manual for my Cub Cadet Enforcer ZTR mower specs Shell Alvania RL2 grease for the mower deck spindle bearings. That product isn't sold in the US. I contacted customer support and I recieved the following reply:

"Shell Alvania RL2 grease is specifically designed for bearings subjected to heavy use. It is an extreme pressure(EP) lithium based grease primarily used in industrial applications. Please check with your Auto Parts store (NAPA, CARQUEST, AUTO ZONE, Etc) for an EP Lithium based grease that is used in heavy duty truck drive line applications. Basically you are looking for a EP Lithium grease that liquefies at higher temperatures than standard EP chassis grease."

So, what grease would be an acceptable, or better yet -superior- substitute?
The remaining lubrication points call for a "NGLI grade 2" grease. What would be a good product for that application? Thanks for any and all advice!

Alvania RL is not an EP grease. (it is sold in the US as well)
Mfg apparently is giving bad info.

Alvania EP is the one you want.

Actually, any lithium based EP grease will work fine in all the mowers applications. Pick the one with the highest "drop point" for the deck bearings.

I like Mobil1 full syn grease for such applications. (any parts house)

Thanks for the advice; Like you, I think I'll stick with Mobil 1.
