What is ZDDP and EOS and why are they important? Apperantly these additives are supposed to be good for the Rover V8's. I was wondering why and does German Castrol or Shell Rotella T have it?

ZDDP - Zinc dialkyl dithio phosphate. Anti wear film. Come older 2000 or around there need it. Some oils these days are putting less in. Not sure about EOS.

EOS just stands for Engine Oil Supplement, as in GM's EOS.
Some amount of ZDDP is in almost any engine oil available that you can get, or you would have to look very hard to find an OTC oil without it, barring maybe ND(non-detergent) oil.
Look at oil analysis' posted for the levels of zinc and phosphorous to find how much ZDDP each one has.
