My oily nose "sniffed" out a good deal for anyone in the SC area. There is an Exxon distributor in Taylors, SC called Morre Balliew Oil Co. (800) 729-2750. They have Mobil 1 5W-40 ESP for $35.52 /case of 6 if you pick up. ($39.36 + shipping, otherwise). They have had it for at least a month. They will be getting Mobil 1 5W-30 ESP in the near future.
I can't use it personally, because 1)I don't have a Mercedes to spec for, and 2) I am working my way through 35qts. each of Mobil 1Racing 0W30 (at $2/qt) and GC Green (the best of the thick and the thin 30wts). If I didn't have it, I would be tempted to try that 5W30 ESP. Tempting specs that one has, with ACEA A3 and 490F Flash point!
