They just said it was a normal 5w40 synthetic diesel engine oil. Didn't say anything good or bad about it.

I wonder if there wasn't an error or a typo in the report though. My UOA reports come back with the calcium at 3200 to 3300 and the phosphorus around 1200 to 1300.

unfortunately this oil is no longer available.

next best thing is duron 10w40 XL.

I don't know where you got that information. It is shown on PetroCan's website and is still available on the shelf. I just bought 4 jugs for my next oil change.

I worded incorrectly, it's being phased out.

They didn't(or couldn't?) get cj-4 approval for it.

Too bad as I have been having great results with it. Hope they don't phase it out too sone. Guees I'll hae to go to Rotella or Mobil if they don't come out with a replacement for it in a 5w40.

Yup, either run the 10w40, or maybe consider xd-3 0w40.
