Anyone out there that has these tires? Im currently running Goodyear GS-C tires on my Trans Am and I'm leaning towards the Bridgestone RE 960AS Pole Position or G009 tires. The size would be 245/50-16. Any comments on ride quality, quiet ride and handling would be appreciated.

I have the RE960s in the exact size you are looking at on my '96 Camaro. I like them a lot and am glad that I replaced my RE950s with these.

On thing that I have noticed, however, is that they make a lot more noise than the 950s did. The 960s are AA traction while the 950s were A...don't know if thats a reason or not.

Quattro Pete: Thanks for the direction to the noted thread.

Invaliduser Id: Good info. I'm looking for a tire that is quiet. The GS-C's that I have on the car now have gotten real loud since pasing the 10,000 mark.

My g/f has the RE960 on her Jetta, but they're to new to tell about the noise. Right now they're quiet, but they only have less than 1k miles on them. Also, generally wider sizes will generate more noise. Hers is only 195/65/15.
