Found some GC without a date stamp

I found a store that still has a lot of GC 10+ quarts and only the first 2 bottles have a date stamp M05216xxxx and all the bottles behind have no stamp, they aren't in the US bottle, it is the current design, has anyone seen bottles without stamps before or is this known to be done during a period? I bought one to check out the color when I get home in a few days, but I thought I'd ask first. For some reason I don't like opening bottles until I'm going to use them.

I have seen a handful of undated GC from time to time. I assumed they were simply anomalies. I left them in the store. there was no group or consistency to the ones I saw.

Do they say "Made In Germany" on the back of the bottles?

Yeah, they are just like any other green or gold GC bottle, just don't have a date stamp on the bottom.
