Hey! I have a 04 Mazda 3 w/ the 2.3 that I did the converion to the 2.0 spin on. The instructions stated I could use a Motorcraft FL 793. When I looked it up at Walmart for 04 Mazda 3 w/ 2.0 it lists Fl 910. The Wix site listed Wix 51215 for the Mazda LF1014302 oil filter (it came with the kit). The Wix 51215 also is equivalent to the Motorcraft 910. So which one , FL 793 or 910 ? Help please.

Yes, that is the equivalent to the Napa 1348 that was recommended. When I entered the Mazda LF1014302 number, it list Wix 51215. The 51215 is crossed over to the Motorcraft FL 910. So,I'm in a dilema on which filter to use on my next oil change. What to do?

Xreference the slightly longer FL400s or FL2005.
The 2.3 is a bigger engine and has balance shafts when compared to the 2.0. I would use a bigger filter to eliminate any chance of inadequate filtration or flow reduction.

The Vulcan Taurus uses the FL400s, and the Zetec Focus uses the FL-2005. Both are easy to x-reference to any brand you want.

Yep, as undummy says, ..3/4-16 in the right gasket (very near) size for all kinds of options. The most common thread/gasket configuration on the planet.

Your only limit is space.
